We need wind energy now in France and throughout the world, as an independent, clean, efficient energy source:

• by definition, wind energy is a local energy source that is not dependent on raw materials or on international geopolitical strategies,
• France has excellent wind energy potential (second highest in Europe),
• the energy comes from a natural power source – the wind -,
• the energy balance associated with wind generators is positive, plus the energy used in building them is paid back within 2 or 3 months of operation,
• it is compulsory to dismantle wind farms at the end of their life,
• wind power technology has been the subject of a large number of research studies and its technological efficiency has improved beyond doubt in many areas.
